Espen on inauguration…

Although we were not far from DC, we couldn’t make it to the actual inauguration…so we did the next best thing: watch it live on the teeny TV stuffed beneath my studio desk because I only bout a 3ft. cord for the cable outlet, so it has always remained there.  As you can see, we even pulled out some food and drinks.  It was a good time, and I’m glad to realize that my son’s first memory of a president of the United States will be one who is African American.  And hopefully he will grow up and see without the eyes of labels and race, and remember this presidency as one held by a person; a person who is fully capable to step into office (regardless of whatever political differences there might be).  I hope we can all see that way.
