Sarah Kiprotich - SO gorgeous! I can’t wait to see them all!

Ever felt like your portraits don’t really stand out. Like you’re making no progress?

Making portraits interesting and unique is one of the ways that helps me move out of this funk. There’s nothing wrong with what has stood the test of time, but the creative element of bringing something into existence that was not there before is very life giving for me. This article about Nadav Kander—an amazing photographer—highlights some of his process in taking things into the experimental for both fun and impact. If you want some inspiration hop over and take a look at what he’s doing.

I had the gift of getting to fly with some good friends tonight from McMinville to Salem, then down around the Oregon Coast (Tillamook up to Wheeler). It was one of the best flights I’ve been on to date. Here’s just one of the hundreds of photos I couldn’t stop taking.

    Cherice - speechless.

I really appreciate how shots when the moon is out make it look like what people create with HDR. I call it, organic HDR.
